Last week I asked for your favorite inspiration sites, thanks for sharing some great resources!

This is the first room I'm tackling as it's already in progress and it's T.O.'s favorite room in the house. He also really likes the powder room which I find totally baffling but that's another story.  Working on this house is already proving to be similar to how I design for a wedding. You just need that one idea, color, flower or image to jumpstart the process! This was it for this room:

After removing the 4 layers of old tile and adhesive from the floor, we found this beautiful mottled finish concrete. It looks like it's already had a very pricey acid bath so we're totally psyched! I also have had several meetings at terrain lately and I'm obsessed with these Colocasias they had planted:

Here's my first design board:

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,

T.O. volunteers on the re-nesting team for a local raptor rescue and since he'll get a lot of use out of this room, I think the muted shades, bird feeder chandelier and industrial touches would be perfect for him and our 4 cats to lounge in. We already own the chair from Restoration Hardware and the cats love it (to shreds). Here's a floral design I did that I think would work well in this room:

Stay tuned, I'm not sure which room we're going to start next!
