It's wedding season, we have our 3 busiest months still in front of us and are continually pushing to do our very best work for each wedding. It's hard work, this industry. In the midst of all that, you know what I need. Another HUGE project of course!
T.O. and I have bought a new home in Mt. Airy. A home that was lived in and loved by a family for 49 years. A family that told me a little about growing up there, about the living room they were only allowed in for piano lessons on the piano that they gave us with the house that now I want to learn to play. They told me how they gardened on the large property, planted the hydrangeas next to the back porch and dug out the small pond that will someday have fish in it again.
It's a big undertaking and one that I'm very excited about. Part of what I love about the house is that I can already see the flowers that I'll design for each room when it's finished. Over the next few months, our blog will be evolving. I'll still be posting our fabulous weddings, our Instagram roundups and peeks at what we're up to at the studio along with a few new features. This house has inspired me so much already and I look forward to sharing the renovation and design process with you.
