A Date with a Plate is an annual event to raise funds for various charitable initiatives. About 20 designers each set up a tablescape to showcase our talents and the variety of different concepts was fantastic. As is my style, I went for lush florals in just two large statement pieces. With table, chairs and place settings from Maggpie and warm cafe lighting our space was very "me". One designer told me it was "very Hamptons dinner party". Yellow is not a color that I have gravitated towards in the past but after discovering all these pale yellow, candlelight and amber varieties I think we'll be seeing more of them. It was also fun to come up with another way to decorate my new favorite prop, the fireplace. What do you think?
